“The dawn of beauty always comes after night.”
Sorin Cerin, Wisdom Collection: The Book of Wisdom
Each sea-themed space is an inspiration if it combines marine motifs, a natural color palette seen by the sea or hints to its inspiration. Since my articles for Ocean Home Magazine take me on virtual rides to the beach, this blue and pink Catch Furniture Collection immediately caught my attention. Modern beachscape interpretation
The blue sea mirroring a clouded pink sky at dawn creates a hard to forget beachscape. I simply love how the shapes, colors and motifs combine in this presentation. Elements found in marine life – natural (fish inspiration), man-made (the life buoy wallpaper pattern) and artistic (the herringbone motif) – are expressed in a minimalist way, creating a beautiful symmetry in design.
I almost feel like turning the imagination camera around to spot a pink-ish continuation – maybe a baby cradle reminding me of the ocean’s foam next to fluffy blanket resting on a rocking chair. Pairing the collection up with a lightweight white curtain freely dancing with the breeze would create a wonderful effect in an ocean home.
Inspired by the Sea
No detail should be left to chance when creating a modern space arrangement – details like the herringbone floor induce the carefree feeling found during a walk on the beach waiting for the sun to rise. The Catch Collection by Belarus-based Fajno Design is a wonderful companion for any kids fond of the sea, gathering all needed elements in a sunny beachscape interpretation. On the company’s Facebook page you can find more design updates, take a look!
“Catch collection is a great catch for those who love sea theme. “
My friend will soon bring her Maya into this world – I couldn’t help but wonder if she would consider this type of children room decor for her baby girl. Would the blue hues and pink shapes be matched with a globe portraying an accurate world map?
